Dues provide membership in the Home Builders Association of the Upper Rio Grande, the Colorado Association of Home Builders (CAHB) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).

Dues paid are not deductible as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes. However, dues payments may be deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense, subject to an exclusion for lobbying by the NAHB and CAHB.

Members will be assessed, in accordance with the Bylaws of the CAHB, for building permits issued in their name for single family residences at the rate of $25.00 for each permit issued. This money is used by CAHB for lobbying and political efforts that directly affect the building industry in Colorado.

Remittance of $345.00-Builder or $370.00 Associate for the annual membership dues is due upon submitting this application. Mail your check for $345.00 or $370.00 respectively to the address listed above.

I understand that the Colorado Association of Home Builders will transfer a portion of my dues to the Committee for the American Dream, a political committee under Colorado law.

5. To keep informed regarding public and other essential information which affect our business interests and those of the building industry as a whole.
6. To comply with the rules and regulations prescribed by law and government agencies for the health, safety, and welfare of the community.
7. To support and abide by the decisions of the association in promoting this code and seeking to resolve controversies through a non-litigation dispute and workmen's compensation insurance.
8. To meet our obligations to the public and our employees by obtaining and maintaining public liability and workmen's compensation insurance.
9. To conduct business by use of a written contract in order to avoid unnecessary conflict and promote trust.
